Hi there, Are you going to be publishing a another piece? The husband and myself have taken some time browsing over your web-site and funnily enough you highlighted some thing we were dealing with just the other month with our son's football coach. We quite often hear ourselves arguing with the smallest of points, isn't it foolish?

I am not positive if this is the right place, but I thought you should know I saw this post earlier on another site. I think it was a wordpress blog with a similar title. The content was basically the same, but I noticed that this one has an older date. I guess they stole it from you, but maybe not who knows. Thought you might want to know.

[...] Before you open your electronics shop on eBay, it is vital to do some initial research on your customer needs as well as your chances of being successful in such a crowded marketplace. Perform an advanced search on eBay for the types of electronics you intend on selling. This will give you a excellent thought of how many other sellers are in your category and how quickly (or slowly) product is moving, as well as the item’s going rate.
hey samasara

I´m 33 and I have done just about everything from drinking to taking acid regularly. Unlike you I started at 20, but did just as much harm to myself as anyone else. I have gone to a.a. but always relapsed, I went for 10 yrs. The only thing that helped me stay off drugs was psychotherapy, and now I drink very little if none at all and do no drugs what so ever.
Anyhow loved your blog. I´ve just started one of my own I´d like for you to visit and tell me what you think.
theinnercosmos331.blogspot.com
well I hope you visit, will continue reading yours.

Margoletta - Thank you for your comments and question.

I have had recent comments on an apparently "controversial" topic here [Drug Addicts in A.A.] that may be related.

But your question is a good one.)

I agree with you 100%. And I think A.A. principles would agree also.

Although we have the "singleness of purpose" it does not excuse a person from being high or using alternative treatments to get high in the stead of alcohol. Yet, watch how people who want to do drugs will argue this point. :)

[Cunning, baffling, powerful eh?]

How can I be sober on both hands when A.A. only differentiates as ONE sobriety? A person is either sober or a person is NOT sober. Getting high is just like getting drunk.

I agree strongly with you...the marijuana maintenance is "the solution" for some people -> NOT the 12 steps. Therefore how can that person be working A.A.'s program? They cannot.

However some will claim sobriety won't they? I have known crack addicts who claim sobriety... [I am not lying ...but it's so funny to even think about because if you're gonna smoke crack why bother right? LoL Well. In the case I am thinking about, this guy would recruit newcomers to his halfway house in which he would make money. So his motivation in claiming sobriety and going to A.A. was to support his crack habit.]

These people will not go to N.A. because they know that people will call them out. However in A.A. they are more successful at conning themselves. ["Well. I have NOT had a drink in 5 years."]

When I share at Newcomers meetings, I often will tell Newcomers that not everyone in AA is sober. I do this because when I was a newcomer, I thougt everyone was and in "learning" or "following" some of these people, I almost got drunk. I have learned that if I want to be sober I must follow and learn from sober people. :)

[I have provided many rational explanations because if you are like me, you try to explain to people but become flustered unknowing what to say so maybe some of my points have helped.]

Hope my comments have shed some light on where I stand.
Take Care and One Day at a Time!
Love, Samsara

I attend AA. I have for many years. Here's my question:

Can a person be SOBER in AA and smoke pot?

I say no. This is not recovery or sobriety. And to clearly state a sobriety date of XX # of years, while working on the marijuana maintenance program, is simply a LIE.

Would appreciate your comments. Thank you.

Oh god. Sept 11. I just noticed.

Hey ...while I am reminiscing over fatalities, a really good movie I watched tonight was "The Life Before her Eyes" with Rachel Evan Wood and Uma Thurman. [Big fatality in that.] If you like poignant, mental, reflective dramas...this was very well made. And of course the acting was superb. Uma and Ms Wood BOTH very nice.
