About the word ‘Samsara’: In Buddhism and Hinduism, the endless round of birth, death, and rebirth to which all conditioned beings are subject. Deliverance, restoration, or elevation of the natural world to a higher, better state from fundamentally negative conditions, such as suffering, evil, death, or samsara is known as salvation.
A Sanskrit word meaning going or wandering through, undergoing transformation. It refers to the continuous flowing through the suffering of repeated lives and deaths. The elevation of this state is known as Nirvana, or salvation.
About the woman, ‘Samsara’: Quite ordinary to the outside world I think I may come across. But in my head there is a world of unexplainable suffering and bliss though it doesn’t stop me from trying. Not bipolar but not wholly polar either… Described by friends as quirky, eccentric, cheerful and yet, I sometimes feel as if I can’t understand whose perception is real - mine or theirs. Who am I and how did I get here? is almost always the question of myself to myself. I almost have who I am figured out. Now if I could just stop changing. But until I can reach nirvana as my chronic condition I will be forever Living Within Samsara but you can call me Samsara.
Living Within Samsara - The articles I write are true at the time I write them. Some articles are meant to convey where I am at a particular place. Other articles are meant to deliver a message I believe in from experience. In my belief system if we are not growing spiritually we are regressing. Nothing wrong with regressing if we have more lessons to learn. But I say this to emphasize that an article may relay one message today I emphasize and another message tomorrow I am emphasizing. These are all of my ideas - not intended to be construed as right or wrong. Just Samsara and everything that encompasses that.
In my heart I am a writer; a lover of literature, books, and the knowledge conveyed from the poets, the thinkers, and the spiritual leaders and mentors I have adopted. If you see a particular influence in one or more articles you are probably right and that’s where the bookstore comes in. If you seek, as I seek, I want to share with you how I got to where I am by way of my articles, my books… Seek and you will find what you are looking for. I promise.

Mitote: Every person’s own reality. Their own dream. A toltec term, adapted from the Four Agreements.
-
Dis-ease: Any one of society’s or person’s harmful methodologies in dealing with life or circumstances that seem to start a cycle of hardship or pain. If I say “dis-eased thinking” I am really saying “thinking that does not lead to ease.” Sometimes I say “diseased thinking” but usually in reference to traits germaine to alcoholics, codependency or any other specific condition I happen to be writing about.
-
Metaphysical: Out of the physical realm. Metaphysical concepts are utilized, for example, when a person engages in scientific prayer and then the situation, without any explainable reason other than the prayer, comes to pass.
Metaphysical category.
-
Manifesting: Bringing something into existence or an action coming to pass usually metaphysically. Jokingly, one could say, “I manifested the bread!” after going to the market. However a true example of metaphysically manifesting or metaphysical manifestation could be that when I prayed out of desperation one night for a specific sum of $1000 and the next day there was an overnight delivery of a $1000 check from a company I had been in business with that in bankruptcy re-organization. The
Manifesting category exhibits manifesting techniques or personal experiences on what I did, metaphysically, to get what I want.
-
Codependency: Placing our autonomy or well-being into the hands of other people, circumstances, or society.
Codependency Category deals with recovering from this as well as other sorts of less than healthy relationships, not engaging in it. ;)

Recovery deal with Alcoholism, Codependency or any emotional or mental issue or frailty of a recovering flavor I am attempting to write about, discuss or help with.
Samsara’s Sassy Shakti - Started out with these articles in 2004. Wanting to bring it closer to my heart I transformed those articles to here and began writing here for my own amusement. Because the Shakti was my beginning I decided to keep it. Now in 2008 it has morphed into more of an internet, SEO, monetization, and marketability ploy for attention and commentary. It has almost turned into a real blog as opposed to an online article repository. If I ever regress into Dakini-ness this is where I’ll be regressing. :)
Neat terms to Know regarding Samsara’s Shakti
-
Shakti: “Shakti meaning force, power or energy is the Hindu concept or personification of God’s female aspect, sometimes referred to as ‘The Divine Mother’. Shakti represents the active, dynamic principles of feminine power.”
-
The Ascent of Kundalini Shakti: “Now, when shakti is climbing up the different chakras, coming to sahasrara, it just becomes wild. Consciousness has no control over shakti, and in this wild state shakti encounters the demonic aspects of consciousness and of energy also, which are confined in different chakras. Just imagine a pure force which encounters insecurities at a gross level. What will the reaction be? It will just smash through the gross manifestations and become wilder and wilder. It is not a passive force.”
-
Dakini: “Questing and testing agents. They dance as they are active manifestations of energy or
shakti.
Dakinis are prevalent in Vajrayana Buddhism and have been particularly conceived in Tibet and the Himalaya where the
dakini, generally of volatile or wrathful temperament, act somewhat as a muse (or inspirational thoughtform) for spiritual practice. Dakinis are energetic thoughtforms in female form, evocative of the movement of energy in space.”
