See over there to the right in the column? Scroll down. No a little further. Okay. Almost to the bottom of the page under the Egocentrism header? It says “Blogroll Me.”
If you click that and you’re a member of Blogrolling, my site will added to your ever growing list of blogs that you can import into your site very easily. As you may notice, I have no “real” blogrolls occuring right now because I’m a blog newbie still yet, new to the blogging community not necessarily to blogging.
However, when I visit a site that appeals to me, I expect to see that “Blogroll Me” link there, as I am currently collecting blogs to my Blogroll account.
What’s the point of it? The point is to gain popularity, traffic, or an audience for yourself while providing others the same venue as well. I’m not sure yet, but I think netiquette would say that it’s similar to making friends on the playground. Someone likes your blog and they let others know by showing that you’re in their Blogroll.
So, if my blog speaks to you in some fashion and/or you have a similar blog or think my audience could benefit or would be interested in your blog, Blogroll Me and let me know!
Blog on!
