Haha! Thank gosh Hercules was found! This is another true story about my old cat named Tramp.

I was living in North Carolina as a youngster and Tramp was my and my sister's 1st cat. Tramp was a wild cat [inside/outside] and there was a man rumored in the neighborhood to dislike cats so much he tried to hit them when he would speed down the circle.

Tramp didn't show up for 4 days - to the best of my memory- and we had all resigned to the fact that Tramp must have been killed by the 'mean man".

Evening 5 and it was late and we heard a rather pitiful scratch at the back door - where Tramp was used to coming and going. There was Tramp. WE were so excited and happy and breathing sighs of relief it took us a while to notice that Tramp has scratches on her paw pads and had matted hair and scratches.

I don't remember where I got the idea. [The vet?] That it almost seemed as if someone had taken Tramp out to the woods far away and Tramp still found his way back home.

Tramp would live a good long while after that until one Saturday morning our friend knocked on our door crying, "Tramp is dead!" All the neighborhood kids and my sister and I stood out in the backyard as our Dad dug the hole that we would bury Tramp in. It was a very solemn day for us and the neighborhood kids as we all loved our beloved Tramp.

The next day we would have "Tramp 2" :)

Wow. What a downer. Now I'm sad.

WELL...at least Bobbarama and Hercules are still here in good health for memoriam.

I read not long ago about a porky cat named Hercules who went missing while its owner/servant was getting a double lung transplant in Seattle. Months later, a rather fat cat got caught in a doggie door after helping itself to the doggie's dinner. The cat's was sent to a shelter but, fortunately, its story made the news where the owner/servant saw the report. Hercules has been put on a diet and apparently is staying near home.

Bobbarama - I know how it feels to have a feline friend leave the nest and venture out. It's scary. Recently I saved a stray from pain and that's gotten my heart all in a flutter about the significance of feline love. I know how it feels man.

I want Murphy safe and happy. And Mon...as always. You're right! If anything happened to Melly [former stray and now beloved] oh goodness. My heart would break.

That was very nice of you to spotlight my blog ... and especially my last post on my missing cat Murph. I'll certainly let you and everyone else know when and if my little buddy returns.

I'm glad you're enjoying my blog. Cool! I glanced at yours a little bit just now and I'll be diving in for more when I get home tonight.

Have a great week.

PS: I read your Technorati's Eating My Shorts post. I'm having the EXACT same problem. Very frustrating. I see they finally got your house in order. I'll probably have to email their tech support this week. Wish me luck. Good post!
