i came across this website by accident. so i figured i would share as well. a few hours ago, i laid down after doing most of my school work. thinking to my self, "i will rest for a while and then finish." of course, this is not what had happened. i fell asleep and started to dream instantly. the dream started off normal.. then i woke up in my bed, or so i thought. i tried to get out of bed thinking "oh no, my school work!!". then right back into another dream. this happened about 5 times before my dreams became very very vivid. this is nothing new to me. i have had oobe, been on the astral plane, had lucid dreams, and so forth. every time i would wake from a dream i would be stuck in bed screaming. now, at one point i remember taking control, as you would in a lucid dream. only that i had no control to take. "something" for lack of better knowledge would reappear every time. and every time it would attempt to take my life, in a different form. i had to keep gaining control over every dream. everytime i woke in my dream, i would be in my bed, yet in a much different place. after what seemed like a month, i took control, again.... only to be confronted once again. everything seemed fine. i was at my old house, my most recent ex girlfriend was there, as were a couple of her friends, whom i had never met. this one friend tried getting me to dance and have fun~~~ everything was fine, until i realized wait... im in my house that i havent in in for years, with a girl i do not know and my ex who hates me.. at that moment we were in the kitchen of the house. my father(who is deceased) walks in coming closer and closer. I start to scream"you are dead!" every time he backs away a little more. i continued on to say " you are not welcome here demon" this was the trick. he fled, so i chased... this time i forced it away and only caught a glimpse of its hand as i shut the finial door on it. at that moment i woke up, leaped out of bed and ran to my buddies room, knocking on the door. he awoke and asked what i was doing. i told him slap me, really hard.. he did .... an overwhelming feeling of joy had come over me at that moment. the part i find odd is that every time i "woke" in this dream. i "fell asleep" again and was in a more of less normal dream.. only to have it go down hill and fast. it was always something, different people, places, scenarios and obstacles that i had to overcome. in these dream, pain.. no feeling was very real. i felt rain drops across my face. heat, cold.. i could feel my hand as i tried to wake myself of convince myself i was awake. at one point i was being choked to death and felt every bit of it, the hands around my throat, the lack of oxygen, the feeling of numbness in my face, my lungs grasping for any bit of air they could.... i went to google at typed in astral demons and this is one of the sites i came across.. i actually feel much better after typing this and am contemplating on clicking the send button... eh, what the hell, he goes, hope you enjoy.

this i believe is called, sleep paralysis. It effects differ on individuals, the main ones are feeling awake but asleep, not being able to move or talk, demon like figures being hallucinated, a present felt, commonly jumping on your bed, sitting on your chest making your breathing difficult.Another figure is "the old hag" or the witch, in the old days it was thought of as a curse from the local witch."The witch jumped on my back" is a saying featured in art other the years describing this occurrence.I had this problem for years and managed to exploit it to my own entertainment when i found it was not real.If you cant move, wiggle your toes, and you will break free, the catholics usually try praying....and it works.I was getting it from stress i was told, but once i started toying with it and testing it, it stopped.Kinda reminds me of alice an the jabberwocky.

Wow! I just came upon this site, looking for some answers to why I might dream of demons, and I can’t believe how much I relate to everyone!

I have SO many experiences – but, each time, it seems like it gets worse and worse.

I’ve seen demons before. I know I wasn’t sleeping. I saw some for the first time when I was about 15. I had been taking a nap. I ‘thought’ I had woke up, and got out of bed, and headed for my door. When I got to the door, I hesitated (had a ‘weird feeling’), but opened it anyways. When I went to open it, there was this tall man standing there. His presence SO incredibly scared me, that it’s kind of indescribable. He had long hair (black), he was wearing these black boots, was kind of ‘muscular’, was wearing a black shirt (long sleeve), and had brown eyes. I ‘gasped’ when I saw him, and tried to slam the door shut, but he was trying to grab me. He was pulling at me. I finally pulled my arm away, and went to try and shut the door. During the struggle, and as I was shutting the door, he tried to grab me by the neck/head. I turned a bit, and I was wearing these long gold earrings. During this part of the struggle, my earring was knocked to the floor – on the outside of my bedroom door. I finally managed to shout, “God, help me”, and was able to shut the door. Right after that, I woke up. My hair was blowing for a second, like a wind was coming through my room. I was scared, yet SO relieved that it was just a dream. I immediately thought about my earring that I had seen fall on the ground. So, hesitantly, I went to feel if it was still there. (They were about 2 to 3 inches long – this was in 1984.) My left earring was not in my ear. I could literally feel my pulse start to race – I was terrified to move. But, I got out of bed, walked to the door, and said, “God, please let that man be gone.” I opened the door, and there was my earring on the ground.

I have seen demons while I was lying in bed, from just waking up. It’s kind of like they don’t realize that I can seem them. Actually, they’ve all looked like ‘normal’ people – except for their eyes. And, whenever they realize that I’m looking at them, they’ve walked right over to me, and ‘locked eyes’ on mine. After that happens, I usually have to close my eyes, then when I open them, they are gone. They usually are just sitting around – looking really ‘sad’. I’ve seen quite a few of them together at one time, but only one will actually come over to me. (Never seen these in my house that I currently live in.) (That was also before I became a Christian, and was baptized. I became very far removed from God between the ages of 29 through 34. I am 43 now.)

Lately, I have had dreams where I think I’m awake, because I’m grabbing my cell phone to see what time it is. When I finally wake up, I look at my phone, and realize that the time I ‘thought’ I saw was actually a few minutes before. (This happens usually when I take naps on the weekends.)

But, what brings me to this site TODAY is what has been occurring a lot lately. I go to sleep, and it’s as if I’m being invaded by spirits. Sometimes I can see them. Sometimes, I can feel them. I usually cry out for Jesus – although sometimes, I can’t speak or scream, or anything. But, I’ve learned out to ‘train’ myself to be aware of what’s going on, so my subsconscious mind can call out to Jesus to rebuke the spirits in His name, and it seems to be working. Last night, I kept having to say it, and with each time I said it, I could feel ‘cold chills’ moving through me.

I try not to let these things scare me. I have really grown spiritually, and I can tell the difference in my spiritual side, and my physical body. I can sense my spirit, and other people’s spirit. The demons don’t really bother me, because I know the answer – Jesus! But, what does bother me, is knowing that my ‘spirit’ has traveled around my house (while my physical body is sleeping.) I’ve had too many instances where I’ve seen different clocks throughout my house.

I also dream things that are future events – I dreamt that death of my brother 1 year before. God has also shown me things that were in my future that have happened – wrecking my car (a few years ago), etc. I’ve seen a couple of other things that have really scared me (nuclear clouds coming over a field…fire on everything, and other ‘stuff’.)

Sounds like an astral realm issue Rachel! This is when our bodies [awareness of our bodies] are in the physical realm [while we notice this realm still] yet it's superimposed by an alternate [parallel?] universe.

Since this article I've had several similar experiences: sleep paralysis with scary [demonic?] forces or being in a hypnagogic state when I hear a doorbell or feel a movement around me though no one is there.

I understand the fear of being pulled into hell. Our bodies [personalities] have fear of losing itself [its ego] so when we anticipate an unknown force in our part body/part spirit state... our bodies minds are naturally inclined to think "Oh my god this is scary and I'm in trouble."

And you are. Your ego [brain] may very well lose itself when you are sucked back into sleep OR into the spirit realm. But my ego always make it back. So far. And if it didn't, my brain wouldn't know it anyway. :-)

I am 21 male, currently residing in the state of GA. I grew up in a christian family, and I use to get night terrors as a chilld, my father taught me of the power of Christ. His love and His compassion, for us as individuals. I tell you these things so that you might uderstand how I felt during my own expieriences.

I'd say about a year ago I had my first encounter so to speak. Up to this point I didn't have many dreams I could remember, and rarely remembered my nightmares. I reached a point in my life where I was thinking about how different the Christian lifestyle was from the rest of the world's, just in general, about how different religions and beliefs, were similar with major differences and how most people believe them to be all the same, with changes to the name of their deities.

I was dreaming I went to a party with a few close friends, and the party lasted long enough that there were only a handful of people left at their house. One of which was his wife's best friend, a neighbor, myself and of course the owners of the house. Throughout the night I observed the behavior of individuals at this party. When it came to my attention that I was being watched as well. I'm young and was determined to fun the right way. So I had a few drinks, lots of laughs, lots of discussion, a little dancing. When my friends wife came to me asking me about her closest friend I answered in honesty, "she's pretty, but she isn't for me". It perplexed her but I think she understood later that evening I was too drunk to be drive, and the circumstance seemed to be universal throughout the patrons. But most could walk home and they did with guidance of family and friends that were sober, or 'not as drunk'. In any case, I was to bunk in the spare bedroom, with the same 'friend' that was mentioned earlier. I inquired about the couch. found it lacking and calimed it as my spot for the night. It was only right, even in my drunken state I'd knew, that situation would only bring about trouble. Brief exchange with the women took place, and I claimed that it was not right for me to sleep in the same bed as her, and since there was only one spare bed, I'd settle on the couch. Perplexed the married couple went to bed. The house settled down and I went to sleep in my dream, which it seemed shortly there after was interrupted by this woman seeking a companion that was not to be had. She was already nude, which was strikingly alarming, since I'd refused thrice. She assumed I was just too shy to go that far, and was as her motto she knew what men really wanted. This fun dream quickly took a nose dive, and when I awoke I couldn't breathe for being someone so small, looking to be about 110lbs, she weighed a ton. As I came from dream to reality I could push her off in the dream. And realized I was pushing at air in reality, and still unable to breathe. I struggled with this weight on my chest crushing me, so i rolled out from under it, as you would if something heavy fell and pinned you. when I rolled I felt a cold air rush into my lungs. The greatest feeling of relief, washed over me, but I was still on high alert. My mind was going a hundred miles an hour and I had no idea why that dream was so real. As I gathered my wits and soaked in my surroundings I noticed that I was drenched through and through with a cold sweat, and to add to my alarm. there was a shadow standing in the middle of the room. Not in a corner, not against the wall, and you can't say it was street lights because there are no street lights where I am at. I lifted my head, only to banish any thought of normal-ness. The shadow didn't move when I moved. As a shadow created by light wood. After I realized this, I studied the shadow briefly mind you, but prolific training kicked in and I notuced the shadow was about 5'4" of incalcuable weight, cause you can't judge the weight of a shadow. It looked like a mix between an extremely anorexic female, a skeleton, and plain out darkness. It looked to be wearing a grin of anger on its face, the only type of anger you see when someone is looking for a bloody revenge to something as innocent as someone else getting selected to have a lolipop.

I laid awake for a minute or two, not sure what to make of the situation when I rolled away from the shadow, and muttered somewhat to my own astonishment, "just leave me alone". when I rolled back over to get the light. The shadow was gone, but I still hit the light, and still got up to take a warm shower, drink some water, and change into dry clothes. I went back to sleep, and without incident.

I am 21 male, currently residing in the state of GA. I grew up in a christian family, and I use to get night terrors as a chilld, my father taught me of the power of Christ. His love and His compassion, for us as individuals. I tell you these things so that you might uderstand how I felt during my own expieriences.

I’d say about a year ago I had my first encounter so to speak. Up to this point I didn’t have many dreams I could remember, and rarely remembered my nightmares. I reached a point in my life where I was thinking about how different the Christian lifestyle was from the rest of the world’s, just in general, about how different religions and beliefs, were similar with major differences and how most people believe them to be all the same, with changes to the name of their deities.

I was dreaming I went to a party with a few close friends, and the party lasted long enough that there were only a handful of people left at their house. One of which was his wife’s best friend, a neighbor, myself and of course the owners of the house. Throughout the night I observed the behavior of individuals at this party. When it came to my attention that I was being watched as well. I’m young and was determined to fun the right way. So I had a few drinks, lots of laughs, lots of discussion, a little dancing. When my friends wife came to me asking me about her closest friend I answered in honesty, “she’s pretty, but she isn’t for me”. It perplexed her but I think she understood later that evening I was too drunk to be drive, and the circumstance seemed to be universal throughout the patrons. But most could walk home and they did with guidance of family and friends that were sober, or ‘not as drunk’. In any case, I was to bunk in the spare bedroom, with the same ‘friend’ that was mentioned earlier. I inquired about the couch. found it lacking and calimed it as my spot for the night. It was only right, even in my drunken state I’d knew, that situation would only bring about trouble. Brief exchange with the women took place, and I claimed that it was not right for me to sleep in the same bed as her, and since there was only one spare bed, I’d settle on the couch. Perplexed the married couple went to bed. The house settled down and I went to sleep in my dream, which it seemed shortly there after was interrupted by this woman seeking a companion that was not to be had. She was already nude, which was strikingly alarming, since I’d refused thrice. She assumed I was just too shy to go that far, and was as her motto she knew what men really wanted. This fun dream quickly took a nose dive, and when I awoke I couldn’t breathe for being someone so small, looking to be about 110lbs, she weighed a ton. Not in a corner, not against the wall, and you can’t say it was street lights because there are no street lights where I am at. I lifted my head, only to banish any thought of normal-ness. The shadow didn’t move when I moved. As a shadow created by light wood. After I realized this, I studied the shadow briefly mind you, but prolific training kicked in and I notuced the shadow was about 5′4″ of incalcuable weight, cause you can’t judge the weight of a shadow. It looked like a mix between an extremely anorexic female, a skeleton, and plain out darkness. It looked to be wearing a grin of anger on its face, the only type of anger you see when someone is looking for a bloody revenge to something as innocent as someone else getting selected to have a lolipop.

I laid awake for a minute or two, not sure what to make of the situation when I rolled away from the shadow, and muttered somewhat to my own astonishment, “just leave me alone”. when I rolled back over to get the light. The shadow was gone, but I still hit the light, and still got up to take a warm shower, drink some water, and change into dry clothes. I went back to sleep, and without incident.

I just came by this website by accident, researching reccuring and prophetic dreams. After reading all these replies, I decided to post my experience that is still so fresh in my mind even though it has been about 20 years now. My mom was freaked out but said I was sleeping even though I remember being widely awake.
I was about 7-8 years old, pretty young, and my mom used to make me go for naps during the summer days. One of these days, in the afternoon, I was told to go for a nap. We had dark blue curtains that blocked most of the light but it was still quite visiblel. I remember the bed was by the door, with head againt the wall and door by the feet. I was laying in bed trying to fall asleep and just lay still in general (being a very energetic kid that was usually hard). I heard some chattering, and when I looked over to the blue curtain, I saw 5 figures, maybe 5" tall each, if that, and they had their pointy ears sticking out and were chubby and looked like little monsters. They were strangely dressed in happy and many colors. It looked like they had instruments and even though there was no music, just their incoherrent chattering, it looked like they were pretending to play the instruments for my entertainment. While at first I was just curious and kept looking at them, soon enough I started being afraid as I realized their faces were grimasing something very evil. As I watched them and they kept staring at me, I kept very slowly moving towards the end of my bed and to the door so I could open it and call for my mom. I was trying really hard not to make any sudden moves. As I came closer to the door, they became louder and suddently they all jumped at me and were all over me. I managed to call for my mom but not very loudly before they consumed me. Next thing I knew my mom rushed in the room (which was weird since I would call her usually during my naps as I would be bored and she would never come as she would know I was trying to say I already had a nap so I could get up and go play! but she heard me this time for some reason) and she was shaking me. They were gone. My whole body was numb, I couldn't move a finger and had that sensation when you sleep on your arm and it goes numb over my whole body. My mom immediately started masaging my body and it slowly came back.
I never again had anything like that happen to my and I'm hoping somebody can tell me what that was. Any comments would be greatly appreciated! I wasn't brought up to believe in god but do believe in supernatural and god and many other things. There are a lot of unexplaned mysteries in the world. I did my research but never found an experience like mine.
thank you in advance!

Hello,
About a month ago, I had an extremely scary experience at my older sisters apartment. I'm not a child, I'm a 26 yr old female. I was not under the influence of anything either, I just wanted to set the record straight.
My older sister and two little nephews had gone to bed, they are 2 & 4 years old. I stayed in the living room laying on the couch, where I was going to sleep for the night.
I remember laying there, Tv was off and a night light was on. I was just thinking random thoughts, trying to fall asleep. At some point I drifted off but, I was in a state where I was between sleeping and being awake. Mentaly I thought I was still awake.
From where I lay I can visualize the room I was in. I was looking down a hallway towards the bedrooms. I then see a toddler crawling down the hallway towards me. (I think it is my 2yr old nephew). I call out to him, "Cameron, what are you doing awake?" I get no response. This baby is crawling towards me, I can't see his face yet but he starts moving faster towards me. His head starts to sway left and right. As he got closer and his head swayed to the left, I got a glimpse of a very evil face. I was paralyzed with fear! He was crawling fast towards me. At this point I'm sitting up. His evil face gets inches away from my face! I kick at this evil baby and yell "God! Please Help Me!" At that moment I woke up! I was sitting up and my leg was still kicking at the air. I begin to cry and pray!
I tear up just telling this story.

That same night... I fall back asleep and I had the most amazingly comforting dream! I dreamt that I was in heaven! I remember feeling this power so strong! I felt Gods presence all around me and he gave me the gift of wings. He made me an Angel! I was surrounded by my family and felt so very loved!

Thats my story.... I'm sure it probably sounds crazy but this truly did happen! I'm interested in hearing comments or opinions about this experience. For me this experience leads me to believe that God is very much real and when you need him, he will be there for you! I feel like I was under attack by a demond that night and God saved me!
