I joined Entrecard a few short weeks ago. I wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you to my Entrecard advertisers, to Entrecard droppers, and especially to all Entrecard members who have made me feel welcome and have taken time to visit, drop, read or even comment on articles here.
So thank-you. Thank you to those of you who drop your card on me daily. Thank you to those who reciprocate when I drop on you. Thank you for continuing to drop on me if I don’t drop on you for a day or two. Thank-you!
A special thank you to those friends I have met through EC who have spent time here, non-Entrecard provoked, and to those friends who have commented here or engaged yourself with an article. I appreciate this because it tells me that I am garnering quality fellow bloggers [as opposed to sploggers or get rich quick folk who offer a drive by, “Great post” with hopes of gaining higher PR] .
What is Entrecard?
For the uninitiated, Entrecard is a social network comprised of bloggers. The object of being a member of Entrecard is to network with other bloggers by “dropping your entrecard” at their site. For each drop you make, you get a credit. The fact that you dropped on them will show up when they log in to EC or if they have the RSS. They, then [usually] will drop on you back which gets you another credit. This generates traffic to your site and introduces people to your blog who otherwise would have never found you. I cannot tell you how many people I have met, and inspirational & educational & entertaining writings I have come across. Oh yes and there is a section for any flavor! [So when you join, choose your niche accurately.] But this is just a general overview of Entrecard to give you an idea of how it works. Entrecard Advertisers - Those folks who actually spent EC credits on advertising here. {Yes. Can you believe it?} If you’re an EC member and would like to spend your hard-earned EC credits on me, I would no doubt be overjoyed! You will find the current advertiser on the right hand side under “Samsara’s Ethereal Site of the Day.”
And when one accumulates credits, one can begin spending them on advertising - for free, less for the “credits” - at other blogs. This is very valuable because to advertise a 125 x 125 image on blogs can otherwise be expensive and unattainable for mere commoners such as myself. :)
I used to have the EC box down lower but since the price for purchasing advertising on my site seemed to go up [disproportionately to what I thought it should be] I had to do something so you nice advertisers felt like you were getting your EC’s worth right? Therefore, I made the snazzy background and bumped it to the top.
[Attention artsy folks. I’ll be making more backgrounds for EC cards and offering them for free. Stay tuned for that! Woo-hoo party! EVERYONE will buy an ad on your site if you just show you care and take the extra time…]

I know I have more Top Droppers than this list contains but I cannot be sure of how many because it only shows 10 in the Entrecard Statistics panel and to get even more recent, I had to RSS it into a reader. So. In short, I apologize to other top droppers I have not accredited; But I will. (This list will grow.) Short of visiting every single website that has shown up in my INBOX and viewing how many drops you’ve made on me in the past month, there is simply no practical way for me to give you other sites the attention you deserve.
